Best Travel Credit Card
The Chase Sapphire Preferred is the only card marketed by travel points specialist that we currently use. We love it because:
- 60,000 point sign up bonus (after spending $4,000 in 3 months)
- Transfer partners (favorite = Hyatt)
- Travel Insurance benefits
More Information HERE
If you already have the Chase Sapphire Preferred, I also recommend adding the Chase Freedom Flex It has no annual fee, but any points you earn here can then be transferred to your Sapphire Preferred which then are transferred (again!) to partners.
Each quarter there are 2-3 bonus categories that earn 5% points which can help you maintain a healthy points balance.

Shopping Portals
Use the following shopping portals to earn cashback, gift cards, or even airline miles!
Rakuten (my favorite, earn cashback or MR for select AmexCards, and get 10% back on qualified purchases in the first 7 days.)
Capital One (earn gift cards)
Fetch (upload receipts and get gift cards. My favorite receipt rewards app)
Airline shopping portals:
Pretty much every major airline has a shopping portal. If you fly with one particular airline more regularly, consider shopping through one of those as well.

Searching for Accommodations + Flights
I always start my accommodation research on booking.com. I love the filters, map, and the fact that if I do book, I can activate my Rakuten cashback.
*Just remember to check other sites like hotels.com and Expedia and the website of the location to make sure you are getting the best price*
Use an online search engine to search for flights, but book directly with the airline whenever possible. My recommended options are:

Tours and Activities
Looking for a tour or unique activity at your destination? Search Viator and/or Get Your Guide for quick and easy booking.
Both offer an easy way to search for several different types of tours and have good cancellation policies (usually).
